I have bet on countless of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have bet on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still spent all kinds of cash at twenty-one. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the game.

I still like the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this method or beat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is centered on the idea that blackjack seems to be a game of streaks. When you are hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I wager with basic strategy blackjack. When I lose I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the bet back down to the original bet.

I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Paris a couple of years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this technique! And a few days ago in Atlantic City I left a table with $1200!

You have to understand that you can squander much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the streaks you see playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.

Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first five dollar bet

Wager $5
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of $10

Wager ten dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the initial 10 dollar wager

Bet $10
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Bet 20 dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the initial $20 wager

Wager 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $40 bet

Wager $40
Leave $40 paid to you for a total bet of $80

Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the first $80 bet

Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 160 dollar

Wager $160
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 160 dollar bet

If you departed at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can’t alter and lower your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
